Mary Elizabeth Bandura, 81, of Butler, passed away peacefully Sunday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice, two days after her husband Tom’s passing.

She was born June 18, 1931, in Chicora, the daughter of the late George Mennor and Marie (Hohn) Mennor.

Mary was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. She worked at Magnetics for 10 years until she and her husband adopted four children. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing cards.

Surviving are her daughter, Jeannine (Dean) Potts of Butler; two sons, Larry G. (Cindy) Bandura of Manorville and Thomas M. (Janet) Bandura of Butler; seven grandchildren, Brian and Brad Roush, Breanna (Kenneth) Hooks, Tyler Bandura-seminarian, and Kayla and Kelly Bandura; and four great-grandchildren, Lyric, Aleyah, Gage and Brooklynn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Michael Bandura, who died Sept. 28, 2012, daughter, Theresa Coleman; a sister and eight brothers.

BANDURA— Mary Elizabeth Bandura passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012.

Friends of Tom and Mary Bandura will be received at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held for both at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Father Matt McClain officiating.

Interment is in the St. Wendelin Cemetery, Butler.
