William J. Wonderling
William J. Wonderling, 86, of Butler passed away at 5 a.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Oct. 17, 1925, in Pittsburgh, to the late Harry Carl Wonderling and Julia (Webb) Wonderling.
Mr. Wonderling was a member of the St. John's Reformed Church of Meridian. He was a retired maintenance foreman at Armco Steel. A Mason, he was a member of the Victory Lodge. Mr. Wonderling was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid reader. Mr. Wonderling also was a Boy Scout leader.
Mr. Wonderling is survived by his wife Mae (Miller) Wonderling, who he married on Aug. 8, 1946; two daughters, Carol Tritch and Joan Jones; one son, James Wonderling; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Mulneix; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, William Thomas Wonderling; two sisters, Pat Dale and Rita Howard; and one son-in-law, Richard Tritch.

According to Mr. Wonderling's wishes, there will be no public visitation.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the St. John's Reformed Church of Meridian, 493 Evans City Road, Butler, with the Rev.
