In loving memory of my beloved mother Barbara Lee Burkett who passed away 11 years ago today.

October 27, 2001

In a little country cemetery,

Just a few short miles away,

I laid a precious loved one

My dear mother who passed away.

And if all the world were mine to give,

I would give it all and more,

To see her face I loved so dear,

Come smiling through my door.

Some think I am not lonely,

When at times they see me smile,

Little do they know the heartaches

That I suffer all the while.

They say time heals all sorrow,

And helps one to forget,

But time so far has only proven

How much I miss her yet.
