Shirley A. Stepp
Shirley A. Stepp, 70, of Butler died Sunday night at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Butler on March 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Walter J. and Mary Weichey Gallagher.
Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Butler High School and a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She enjoyed making monthly bus trips to area casinos with the Tanglewood Senior Center.
She was the widow of Richard Stepp. They married May 29, 1971, and he was tragically killed in an industrial accident on Sept. 21, 1981.
Surviving are her sister, Nancy Collier and her husband, Kenneth Collier Jr., of Butler; one niece, Tiffany (Jonathan) Valentino of Chicora; one nephew, Brian (Kimberly) Collier of Chicora; two grandnieces, Isabella and Amelia Valentino; two stepsons, Richard Stepp and David (Risan) Stepp; and a stepdaughter, Joyce (John D.) Day.
STEPP — Family and friends of Shirley A. Stepp, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Butler. There will be no public visitation.Arrangements are entrusted to the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
