QR codes ready for headstones
Technology and social media extend their fingers to just about anywhere, and now the grave site.
Cemeteries are becoming social media savvy, interactive via the addition of QR (or Quick Response) codes that you typically see at restaurants, movie theaters and elsewhere, according to The Huffington Post.
The idea is that you use a smartphone to scan the QR code on the headstone to view comments, photo and other online memorial data.
Visitors can call up photographs, or add photos of the deceased to virtual albums.
They can check out clips of old home videos, share old stories and leave comments for future generations.
