UPPER ST. CLAIR — A tournament team made up of players from the Mars High softball program won the Upper St. Clair Fall Tournament held Saturday and Sunday, defeating West Mifflin in the championship game, 10-4.

The Mars team posted a 5-0 record and outscored the opposition 49-14 in the tournament, which also included Strong Vincent (Erie), Baldwin, Upper St. Clair and Thomas Jefferson.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University will host the PSAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships Saturday at the Cooper Lake Campground.The men's 8K race begins at 10:15 a.m., the women's 6K at 11:15 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held at noon.
