David J. Hoffman
David J. Hoffman, 64, of Renfrew passed away Saturday at the Lakeland Medical Center, Florida.
He was born Nov. 16, 1947, in Butler and was the son of the late Lemoyne E. Hoffman and M. Adele (Brewster) Hoffman.
David was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He had been a welder for Pulva Corp.
David enjoyed camping, spending winters in Florida, visiting casinos and reading his Bible every morning. The greatest loves of his life were stock car racing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Osche Hoffman of Renfrew, who he married Nov. 23, 1964; his daughter, Saundi Hoffman of Renfrew; his son, Robert Hoffman of Butler; two grandsons, Travis and Dalton Hoffman; his twin sister, Doris (Ronald) Williams of Renfrew; his brother, Benjamin (Rita) Hoffman of Renfrew; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Arlene Hoffman; and a nephew, Tim Hoffman.
HOFFMAN — A memorial service for David J. Hoffman, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, will be at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, at 7 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Alden Towberman officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Racers for Tots, 422 Catoma St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.Arrangements are entrusted to the Young Funeral Home, Butler.
