William Ramon 'Bill' Yohn
William Ramon “Bill” Yohn, 81, of Harmony, Jackson Township, passed away on Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Feb. 11, 1931, in Zelienople, he was a son of Clarence O. and Grace (Nesbitt) Yohn.
Bill was a graduate of Zelienople High School. Thereafter, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953 and was stationed in Wyoming.
For 38 years, he worked for the Butler Armco Street Division, now AK Steel, in its welding shop.
Bill was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. During his free time, he loved ice skating, collecting black powder guns and wood carving.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Katherine “Kay” Yohn, who he married on Dec. 30, 1989; his four children, Amy Soave of Zelienople, Deborah Bouvia of Harmony, Michael Yohn and his wife, Kim, of Harmony and Matthew Yohn and his wife, Jeanne, of Zelienople; his brother, Robert Yohn and his wife, Mary Jo; his 13 grandchildren, Jessica Soave, Isaiah and Noah Yohn, Ashlee and Morgan Midkiff, Madison Yohn, Raeanna and Caitlin Beatty, Garrett and Drew Kubacki and Nichole, John and Jacob Beatty; and his three stepchildren, Scott Beatty and his wife, Melanie, of California, Sherry Kubacki and her husband, Joe, of Wexford and John Beatty and his wife, Mary, of Rochester.
YOHN — William Ramon “Bill” Yohn passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. The Yohn family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Robert A. Keplinger officiating.
