Reason she’s named Starla:
“(Starla’s) my first daughter and she’s a star, so I thought that should be her name. Also, she has a sign (language) name that looks like she was scratched in the face, because that’s what she did in the first hour of her life.”
Reason he’s named Dekota:
“That’s a different spelling. He’s 6 now and he’s a very tall boy and I picked that name because I liked Dakota but I was tired of the same old spelling.”
Reason she’s named Farisa:
“I choose that name because her sign is like the sign for friendly.
“She’s a very friendly girl and she has very long hair. I also wanted a name that was similar to mine.”
