Jean Stroup Gibson, 92, formerly of Avalon passed away Tuesday.

She was the wife of the late Roy R. Gibson; daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Campbell Stroup; sister of Ruth A. Bauer of Palm Harbor, Fla., and the late R. Ardell Stroup; and aunt of Robert Stroup of Harborcreek, Pa., and Richard Stroup of Evans City.

GIBSON — Friends of Jean S. Gibson, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, 529 California Ave. Avalon, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
