Carbon Matthew Parker

Son of: Nicole (Plaisted) and Josh Parker of Butler

Reason he’s named Carbon Matthew:

“My husband was always a hunter and recently got into hunting archery.

“As any wife who’s husband hunts, you lose your man for a weeks at a time to the outdoors.

“As a way to spend more time together, I also took up archery hunting.

“My husband bought me my very first bow and arrows and taught me how to shoot.

“In 2010, we found out we were expecting our son. I remember I turned to him and said, ‘All I want is a hunting name.’

“He took a couple weeks, but then he (came up with) our son’s name.

“The meaning behind it is Carbon for carbon arrows and Matthew for Matthews (Inc.) bows.

“I thought, ‘Perfect.’ I loved it. The name meant something that we cherished to do together, something we loved so much.

“We kept it a secret until the nurses asked us what our new little bundle of joy’s name would be.

“The name fits our son so well, he’s such a smiling, full of energy, happy-go- lucky little boy.”
