Helen Heasley

Helen G. Heasley, 83, of Butler died on Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Butler, the daughter of the late David Frank and Irene Elizabeth (Bruner) Stewart.

Helen had been the owner and manager of the Heasley Nursery since 1960 with her husband and son. She was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Maqueda OES 421. Helen also had retired from Bell Telephone after 25 years of service.

Surviving are her son, Wade Jordan Heasley Jr.; and two sisters, Elizabeth Osche of Elizabeth and Mrs. James (Dorothy) Graham of Rye, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Jordan Heasley Sr., who she married Nov. 22, 1950, and who died April 30, 2004; one son, Thomas; two sisters; and one brother.

HEASLEY — Friends of Helen G. Heasley, who died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, Butler.
