Carl. R. Johnson
Carl R. Johnson, 99, of Butler died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1912, in California, Pa., he was a son of the late Bert S. and Anna Johnson.
Carl was a retired cab driver for the Yellow Cab Co. in Pittsburgh, was a member of the Chauffeur’s Union and was a member of the Evaline Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving are his son, James G. Johnson of Penn Township; one daughter, Karen (Richard) Hakius of Lima, Ohio; two grandchildren, Joshua Pytka and Lauren Pytka, both of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma (Shaulis) Johnson, who he married May 1, 1942, and who died Dec. 3, 2008; and his two sisters.
JOHNSON — Friends of Carl R. Johnson, who died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Dollhopf, pastor of the First English Lutheran Church in Butler, will officiate. Internment will take place in Lakewood Memorial Park, Cheswick.
