Ruth V. Brown Sarver, 90 of Mars, formerly of Evans City, passed away Tuesday evening at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born in Ellwood City, Oct. 7, 1921, she was the daughter of late Ira W. and Lottie Welsh Brown.

Ruth was a Protestant. She read her Bible faithfully and also listened to Billy Graham.

Ruth enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Sarver, who passed away Dec. 31, 1997, and six brothers.

Surviving are her three daughters, Virginia Murphy of Ormond, Fla., Nancy Sarver and Carol (Harold) Kennedy of Evans City; two sons, John Sarver of Meridian and William Sarver of Butler; two brothers, Donald Brown of Johnstown and Robert (Mary Lou) Brown of Beaver Falls; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

SARVER — Friends and relatives of Ruth V. Brown Sarver, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N.
