Shizuko T. Johnston, 88, of Hilliards passed away at 11:20 p.m. Friday at Orchard Manor.

She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Mie-Ken, Japan. She was the daughter of the late Gennosuke Fujimoto and the late Take Terashi Fujimoto.

She retired from the housekeeping department of Orchard Manor after 22 years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading books and gardening, especially flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Ethel and her husband, Don, Cook of Hilliards; her son, Raymond A. Johnston of Harrisville; one grandchild, Jeremiah Cook; and three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis A. Johnston, who died July 6, 1990.
