Justin Tyler Griffin, 15, of Grove City passed away at 11:16 a.m. Friday at the Grove City Medical Center from injuries he sustained in a vehicle and bicycle accident.

He was born in Grove City on Aug. 14, 1997, and was the son of Matthew E. Griffin and Susan D. Bonanni.

Justin attended the Grove City School District and was excited about starting ninth grade.

He attended the East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, where he was active in his faith and with several youth ministries trips. Most recently, he spent a week in Cincinnati with Youthworks, mentoring under privileged children.

Justin loved sports, formerly playing football and basketball, but his passion was playing baseball. For the past 10 years he played in the Grove City Little League program, many of those years being selected for the All-Star Team. He participated in Taekwondo where he earned his red belt. He enjoyed fishing with his grandfather and boating and camping with his family. His family and friends were very important to him. Justin will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his mother, Susan Ray and her husband, Brian; his father, Matthew E. Griffin and his wife, Lisa, all of Grove City; four sisters, Tiffany Riddle and her husband, Michael, Brooke Griffin, McKenzie Ray and Meagan Ray, all of Grove City; grandparents, Janet Bonanni Wood and her husband, Sam, and Vance N. Griffin and his wife, Gay, all of Grove City, and Connie Thompson of Harrisville. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James R. Bonanni and Glenn Thompson.

GRIFFIN — The funeral service for Justin Tyler Griffin, who passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, will be at the East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City, at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bill Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City.
