Donald Joseph Edwards, 31, of Butler, formerly of Marietta, Ga., passed away Saturday at his home.

Donnie was born Nov. 18, 1980, in Butler.

He was employed at Mickey’s Pizza. In his free time, Donnie was happiest spending time with his only niece, Rylin. Donnie enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite television shows, was an avid reader and movie lover and loved watching the Penguins and Steelers.

He will be greatly missed by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Eric “Scotty” Fitzpatrick of Butler; his brother, Mark W. Edwards Jr.; his niece, Rylin Edwards of Butler; his niece’s mother, Angela Simmons of Butler; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Sandy Buccini of Butler; paternal grandmother, Therese M. Edwards and Pap Albert Geible of Cabot; his father, Mark Edwards Sr. of Cabot; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Edwards.

EDWARDS — Friends of Donald Joseph Edwards, who died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. The burial will be private.
