Ida Blanche Logan Jakovac of Saxonburg passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon in her favorite chair surrounded by her family.

She was born on the North Side of Pittsburgh on May 27, 1926. She was the wife of the late stone mason, Louis A. Jakovac Sr.

Ida was known in the past by her children's friends as “Momma J” and more recently by everyone as “Gram” or “Grammich.” She loved to cook and share her cooking experience with anyone who wanted to learn one of her recipes. She was proud of her family, and even though they are not all in Saxonburg, she shared their pictures and talked about them always.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Wittebort, Barbara Ramsey, C. Jean Miller, Louis (Judy McAtee) Jakovac, Gerald (Terry Paulsen) Jakovac, and Terry (Vicki Becker) Jakovac; her grandchildren, Tammi Jakovac, Cyndi Jakovac, Jeffrey Wittebort, Gregory Wittebort, Stephen Jones, Scott Jones, Todd Moore, Kevin Moore, Laura (Tufts) Jakovac, Lisa (Lawrence) Jakovac, Dawn (Bradford) Jakovac, Diane (Wagner) Jakovac, Keirsten Jakovac, Heath (Tiffany Ordi) Jakovac, Jaime (Philips) Jakovac, Kaitlyn Wetzel and Kelsey Wetzel. She had 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

JAKOVAC — Visitation for Ida Blanche Logan Jakovac, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, will be at Fox Funeral Homefrom 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Chris Marshall officiating. The interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund New Christian Ministries, N-32 Carriage Lane, Saxonburg, PA 16056.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
