Dolores V. 'Pat' Thompson

Dolores V. “Pat” Thompson, 78, formerly of Beacon Road, Renfrew, died Tuesday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Butler on May 28, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Pearl W. Voltz

A member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, Pat was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who had an unforgettable smile for everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, William K. “Bill” Thompson. They were married Sept. 19, 1952. Also surviving are six children, Billie (James) Kennedy of Southern Pines, N.C., Vernon Scot (Georgia) Thompson of Butler, Kathleen Estes of Richmond, Va., Joseph (Penny) Thompson of Chesterfield, Va., Barbara (Rick) Reuschel of Butler and Thomas (Torri) Thompson of Wilkesboro, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, Nicole, Timothy, Dustin, Rebecca, David, Brittany, Caroline, Colbi, Kazie, Callie, Brock and Bree; three stepgrandchildren, Daryl, Beth and Nick; 10 great-grandchildren, Zack, Alex, Nora, Lucas, Peyton, Vaughn, Molly, Emily, Nolan and Presley; and one great-stepgrandson, Tyler.

She was preceded in death by a stepbrother, James Boyle, and half-siblings, Jane Voltz and John Boyle.

THOMPSON — Friends of Dolores V. “Pat” Thompson, who died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, will be received at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church (Meridian worship site), 125 Buttercup Road, Butler. The Rev. George Palick will officiate. The interment will be at Brownsdale Cemetery.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis will conduct a parish vigil service at 3 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, to honor her memory, the family suggests donations could be made to a Catholic charity.
