Dr. James T. Carver Jr.
Dr. James T. Carver Jr., 61, of Hermitage, formerly of Zelienople, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, in the comfort of his home.
Born April 12, 1951, in Ellwood City, he was the beloved son of James T. and Mary Magdalen (Soltesz) Carver Sr.
Jim enjoyed outdoor activities, such as golfing and fishing, but primarily loved to read, sing and cook. He was known for his storytelling, jokes and his sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, laughing and having great conversations. Jim was a great Steelers fan and he and Patti loved to settle down in front of the fireplace to watch the games. Above all, he will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered especially by his family and his beloved dogs, Spencer and Lucy.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (O’Neill) Carver of Hermitage; his two daughters, Kaitlyn Caughlin and her husband, Ryan Oney, of Philadelphia and Suzie Caughlin and her fiancé, Sean, of Tucson, Ariz.; two stepsons, Terry O’Neill and his companion, Colleen Schmidt, of Baltimore, Md., and Sean O’Neill and his wife, Jessie, of Okinawa, Japan; his brother, Chris Carver and his wife, Beth, of Coraopolis; his five sisters, Diane Sims and her husband, Paul, of Fombell, Peggy Ragusa of Harmony, Bonnie Kugel and her husband, Ron, of Evans City, Lisa Szakelyhidi and her husband, Rob, of Harmony and Amy McStay and her husband, Doug, of Cranberry Township; and many nieces and nephews.
CARVER — A memorial mass for Dr. James T. Carver Jr., who passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople. Friends will gather again from 7 to 9 p.m. that evening at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
