William “Bill” Schmiedlin, 91, of Butler passed away Sunday.

He was the husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” Schmiedlin; beloved father of James (Debra Walsh) Schmiedlin, Sandy (Jim) Hinchman, Thomas (Robi) Schmiedlin, the late William Schmiedlin and his surviving wife, Katie (Richard) Bernard and Linda Thomas; and grandfather of James (Beth) Schmiedlin Jr., Michael (Shawna) Schmiedlin and Michele (Tory) Noggle. He was the great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren; and brother of Margaret Krall, Maxine Holz, the late John and Albert Schmiedlin, Delores Gilberton and Wilma Kamm.
