The Butler Golden Tornado Marching Band will sponsor a pie festival at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Butler High School’s Art Bernardi Stadium.

The band will be performing its 2012 pregame and halftime show.

A slice of pie and a drink are included with the price of admission.

Weight-loss class begins WednesdayButler Health System is offering a Highmark “Drop 10 in 10” 10-week class from 4 to 5 p.m. beginning Wednesday in the Dimmick Educational Center, located at Butler Memorial Hospital.“Drop 10 in 10” is a weight management program designed to help participants lose 10 pounds or 10 percent of their body weight through balanced nutrition, sensible activity and meaningful lifestyle changes.A materials fee will apply. Slippery Rock church bazaar setSLIPPERY ROCK — Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, 626 Plain Grove Road, will hold its fall bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15.Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.There will be a yard sale, as well as a craft and bake sale.Proceeds will benefit the Community Emergency Fund and youth programs.
