Karl K. Kellar
Karl K. Kellar, 87, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Wednesday afternoon at VA Butler Healthcare.
Born in Sykesville, Jefferson County, Oct. 16, 1924, he was the son of the late William and Prudence Phillipi Kellar.
Karl was a biology and science teacher for the Hampton School District.
A corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II, he served with the 534th Amphibious Tractor Battalion, Company B. He was a life member of the Mars VFW, Post 7505 and the West View Sportsman's Club.
He was the father of Karl Kellar Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Forward Township and Harry Kellar of Middlesex Township and the grandfather of Jebediah and Gretchen Kellar. He also is survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Lenhardt Kellar, four brothers and a sister.
