Ruth M. Errera, 88, of Centertown Road, Harrisville, died at 4:25 a.m. Monday surrounded by her loving family and caring staff at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

A daughter of Ralph and Edith Neely Weiss, she was born in Boyers on April 29, 1924.

She was valedictorian of her Harrisville High School class. She was retired from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

She was a member of the Forestville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening, and she enjoyed animals.

On June 23, 1949, she married Darland Paul Errera. He died Aug. 18, 2011.

Surviving are a daughter, Gaye L. Mack and her husband, Terry, of Harrisville; a son, D. Paul Errera Jr. and his wife, Ginger, of Pulaski; her grandchildren, Jill Errera, Stephanie Clem, Jason Rudzik and T.J. Mack; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Lois Daubenspeck of Boyers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandsons, Nicholas Daubenspeck and Josh Rudzik; a brother, Edward Weiss; and a sister, Katherine Zabroski.

ERRERA — Friends of Ruth M. Errera, who died Monday, July 23, 2012, will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Barbara J. Moore, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.
