Elizabeth J. “Betty” Zilian of Avalon passed away Thursday.

She was married to the love of her life, the late Edward “Bud” Zilian.

She was the loving mother of Patty (Bob) McMahon, Sandra (Dave) Graver, Jacqueline Herold and Shirley (Dave) Hilderbrand; proud grandmother of Shannon, Shelley, Michael, David E., Brian J., Lindsay, Katelynn, Brian D., David A. and Kristy; great-grandmother of five; and sister of Eleanor Clark.

Betty was a vibrant woman who really enjoyed her family. She was the head teller for First Federal of Pittsburgh on McKnight Road, was an avid golfer, played in a Wednesday night card club and was a member of Club Julian.

ZILIAN — Friends of Elizabeth J. “Betty” Zilian, who passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, 1014 California Ave., Avalon, 412-766-5600.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue. Interment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.
