Alexis Harley McKinney, 15, of Cabot passed away Wednesday as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born July 18, 1996, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of David W. McKinney of Cabot and Sherry Wenck of Butler.

Alexis loved her music and watching movies. She was a good listener, loved helping others and lived day by day with peace, love and happiness. She would have been a junior at Knoch High School.

Her parents write, “My daughter, Mommy and Daddy love you and sissy too,” and “Louvy, you’re in my heart and soul, Daddy.”

Surviving her, along with her parents, are a sister, Kristina Wenck of Butler; a brother, Jesse Wenck of Butler; maternal grandmother, Gwen Wenck of Butler; maternal grandfather, Charles Wenck of New Jersey; paternal grandmother, Jackie McKinney of Downieville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Howard McKinney; an uncle, Donnie McKinney; and an aunt, C.J. Vieth.

MCKINNEY — Friends of Alexis Harley McKinney, who passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Young Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1522, Butler, PA 16003, to help with funeral expenses.
