G. Malcolm Cottington
G. Malcolm Cottington M.D., 84, of Renfrew died early Sunday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Honolulu, Hawaii, a son of Gordon and Marion Philip Cottington.
Dr. Cottington was a graduate of Bethany College and the University of Washington School of Medicine. A retired orthopedic surgeon, he had practiced in Butler for 26 years.
He was a member of the Oak Hills Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ilene Racho Cottington. They married on June 28, 1952. Also surviving are four children, Eric Cottington, Susan Horan, David Cottington and Robert Cottington; one sister, Yaada Weber; 16 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
COTTINGTON — Friends and family of Dr. G. Malcolm Cottington, who died Sunday, July 1, 2012, are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, Meridian, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler. The Rev. James Murphy, pastor, will officiate.A private inurnment will be at North Side Cemetery, Butler.
