CRANBERRY TWP — There's a buzz among customers at Sorbara's Cranberry Shop 'n Save on Freedom Road.

That's because a Powerball ticket worth $1 million from the Saturday drawing was sold there Friday.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls, 05-06-13-36-50, but not the Powerball 13, for a $1 million prize. The supermarket will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Lottery officials cannot name the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

John Barley, Shop 'n Save store manager, said the store was contacted by the representatives of the Pennsylvania lottery Monday morning and told the store had sold the winning ticket.

“That's fantastic. We're all excited about it. We can't wait to see who it is. We're hoping that it's one of our regular customers,” said Barley. “We're all waiting for the person to come forward.”
