Arnold Lee “Arnie” Smith, 75, of Cranberry Township passed away Saturday in the comfort of his home.

Born Oct. 5, 1936, in Rochester, Pa., he was the son of the late Guy Armagost and Cora Elizabeth (Vogel) Smith.

For 38 years, Arnie proudly attended AA meetings in Wexford. He enjoyed camping at Cook Forest State Park in the Allegheny National Forest, and attending car cruises in Beaver Falls.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 44 years, Linda E. (Frederick) Smith of Cranberry Township; his daughter, Sgt. Allison L. Smith of Fort Carson, Col., who is serving our country in the U.S. Army; his two sons, Benjamin T. Smith and his wife, Lynn, of Loganville, Ga., and Frederick L. Smith and his wife, Lynn, of Freedom; his sister, Lillian Bevington and her husband, George, of Beaver; his two grandsons, Thomas Edward and Andrew Paul Smith; his three step-grandchildren, Zach, Preston and Alexis; his brother-in-law, Bob Frederick and his wife, Pat, of Greer, S.C,; his four-footed canine companion, Abby, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

SMITH — A celebration of life service for Arnold Lee “Arnie” Smith, who passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Robert A.
