Wilhelmina Bauer

Wilhelmina Bauer, 84, of Saxonburg passed away Friday at her home.

Born Feb. 14, 1928, in West Germany, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Johanna Spinnen.

She moved to the United States from Germany in 1963. She was a member of the St. Peter's Anglican Church in Butler, where she was an active member of the Anglican Church Women. Wilhelmina was an active member of the Butler Meals on Wheels for 35 years and the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and traveling.

Surviving are her loving son, Albert Bauer of Saxonburg; her daughter, Elizabeth Affuso of Butler; her sisters, Hanni Lennartz of Germany and Anita Makleris of Germany; and her brother, Hermuit Spinnen of Germany.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bauer, who passed away April 23, 1995; one brother; and one sister.

BAUER — A memorial service for Wilhelmina Bauer, who passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler, with Father Andrew DeFusco officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Donations in her memory may be made to Butler Meals on Wheels, 218 E.
