Fran Haus struck out eight in six innings of work and John Crummy went 3-for-3 with four RBI as Mars II downed Freeport in the decisive game of its Eagle County League playoff series Wednesday night.

Randy Scheutz added two singles for Mars II.

Mars II will now face No. 2 seed Saxonburg in a best-of-five series beginning Friday at Butler County Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

In the other semifinal series, Mars will host Cranberry Friday, also at 6 p.m.
