John W. “Johnny” Wick, 91, formerly of Claytonia, recently residing at Chicora Vista Royale, passed away at his home at 12:57 a.m. Tuesday.

He was born Sept. 5, 1920, in Butler. He was the son of the late George W. Wick and Lula May Duff Wick.

He was a member of the St. John's Methodist Church. He retired from the security department at Armco Steel, now AK Steel. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by one son, George A. Wick and his wife, LeeAnn, of Butler, and one grandson, Shane A. Wick of West Sunbury.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Wick, who passed away May 5, 2005.

WICK — Friends of John W. “Johnny” Wick, who passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Patricia Sawaya, chaplain of the Chicora Medical Center, officiating.The burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
