Robert G. Patton, 66, of East Brady died Sunday at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

Born May 8, 1946, in Kittanning, he was the son of John and Alice (Cravenor) Patton.

Bob attended Kittanning High School. He was a Protestant.

On June 24, 1967, Bob married Diane E. Boyle, who survives.

He was a member of the Local 952 Laborers Union for 28 years. He also worked in the West Freedom Coal Mine.

Bob was a member of the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, was a great handyman and enjoyed assisting his daughter in the operation of the St. Cloud Hotel in East Brady.

Surviving are his wife, Diane E. (Boyle) Patton of East Brady; one daughter, Renee S. Patton of East Brady; two sons, James A. “Chud” Patton of East Brady and Robert G. “Bub” Patton of East Brady; his mother and stepfather, Alice and Venson Toy of Kittanning; and two brothers, William Patton of Kittanning and John Patton of Ford City.

Bob also is survived by three grandchildren, Matthew, James and Kayla Patton of Ford City; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his favorite dog, Benny.

He was preceded in death by his father; one infant son; one sister, Judy Pyle; and one brother, James Patton.

PATTON — Friends of Robert G. Patton, who died Sunday, June 17, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hillwig of the East Brady Baptist Church officiating.
