Benjamin T. Brown
Benjamin Tyler Brown, 29, of Butler passed away early Sunday morning from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident on Route 138.
Ben was born Sept. 22, 1982, in Pittsburgh to Gary R. Brown and Paula J. (Boben) Brown Horne.
Ben worked at Harsco Metals since 2005, based at the AK Steel plant, Butler. He was a member of the American Legion Post 117, Butler, and the Operating Engineers Local 66.
Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.
He was a veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne, serving in the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign.
Ben is survived by his father, Gary of Butler, and his mother, Paula and her husband, Thomas, of North Augusta, S.C. He also is survived by one sister, Jessica R. Brown of Butler; three brothers, Travis Sanderson of Slippery Rock, Tommy Sanderson of Mt. Morris, N.Y.; and Jimmy Sanderson of Butler; and his maternal grandparents, Harry and Helen Boben of Butler.
Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Jean Brown Jr.
