BlueSox rally for 13-8 win
LORAIN, Ohio — The Butler BlueSox erased an early deficit with nine unanswered runs to claim sole possession of first place in the East Division with a 13-8 victory Monday night over the Lorain County Ironmen.
Seven BlueSox tallied multi-hit games, including Brendan Costantino who was a triple shy of the cycle, going 4-for-6 with four runs scored and a two-run homer in the ninth.
George Roberts also collected four hits in a 4-for-6 effort with two runs scored and an RBI, while Grove City graduate Alex Miklos enjoyed a 3-for-5 showing with a run scored. Justin Brozick had a pair of hits and a team-high three RBIs.
Elliott Caldwell, Kyle Petty and John Danielczyk tallied two hits apiece for the BlueSox (9-2), while Tim Haley earned the win on the mound with 4 1-3 innings of scoreless relief.
