Robert Wesley Rogers Jr.
Robert Wesley Rogers Jr., 71, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Fombell, passed away Friday at Hospice House–Woodside in Pinellas Park, Fla.
He was born Feb. 18, 1941, in Bellevue, the son of the late Robert W. Rogers Sr. and Helen (Parsons) Rogers.
Bob attended both the University of Dubuque, Iowa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and was a member of Mu Sigma Beta Fraternity, and the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his master’s degree in chemistry.
On Nov. 6, 1993, he married his wife of more than 18 years, Dee Lock Rogers.
Bob retired from U.S. Filter/Siemens in 2007 and remained a consultant until 2011. Bob was a former deacon at the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Lock Rogers; children, Ronalae (Thomas) Townley, Diane (Raymond) Palmer, Heather (Jay) Cameron, Raquel (Ted Callen) Huff and Tara (Frank Csetter) Rogers; stepchildren, Lisa Cunningham and Richard L. Cunningham; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Roy (Carol) Rogers, Elizabeth (Mark Nocera) Dripps, Richard (Jan) Rogers, Marilou (Rick) Bixler and Randy Rogers; “adopted mother,” Geraldine Strong; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
ROGERS — Funeral services for Robert Wesley Rogers Jr., who passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, will be at WEBB NOONAN KIDD FUNERAL HOME, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Dudley Rose officiating. The interment will follow at Millville Cemetery.Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday.
