Pitt raises tuition

PITTSBURGH — The University of Pittsburgh board of trustees has approved raising tuition for students at its main and branch campuses.

The tuition for in-state and out-of-state students at the main campus will rise 3 percent this year. That means tuition for an in-state undergraduate at the university’s school of arts and sciences, for example, will be $15,730 this year, compared to $15,272 last year.

Branch campus students will see tuition rise 2 percent. A full-time, in-state undergrad, for example, will pay $11,970, up from $11,736.
