BEAVER FALLS — Brent Rodgers of Cranberry Township and Marissa DeCola of Center Township each placed second in their respective divisions at the Tri-State Junior PGA Championship Wednesday at Fox Run Golf Course.

Rodgers, 17, carded a 71-71—142 to finish two strokes behind champion Owen Miller, 16, of Burgettstown in the boys 16-18 division. DeCola, 18, fired a 76-73—149 to finish two shots behind champion Mackenzie Foust, 17, of Aliquippa in the girls 16-18 division.

Both Miller and Foust will advance to the national event at Sycamore Hills Golf Club July 31 to Aug. 3 in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Other top 10 finishers included:

• Audrey Clawson, 14, of Sarver and Bridget Merten, 14, of Saxonburg tied for fifth (171) in the girls 14-15 division.

• Cranberry Township’s Jason Li, 14, and Carter Ehms, 15, placed sixth and tied for seventh, respectively, at 158 and 163 in the boys 14-15 division.

• Charles Carbeau, 18, of Zelienople, tied for eighth in the boys 16-18 division with a score of 146.
