Josh Friel and Tim Butler combined to strike out 10 batters as Butler City downed West Sunbury 14-4 in Butler County American Legion action this past weekend.

Butler City (10-11) also picked up a 10-9 decision against West Sunbury in a make-up game from earlier this season.

Friel added a double and triple, Alex Ziegler and Hunter Moore a single and double apiece and Travis Thompson two singles and two walks, all for Butler City.

In a 10-9 game, Ziegler picked up the win and, along with Thompson and Dane Petricelli, recorded multiple hits.

The BCAL playoff pairings meeting will take place this evening.
