Mary A. West Weisz

Mary A. West Weisz, 79, of New Castle passed away Wednesday morning at Carriage Court, New Castle, with her loving family at her side.

Born in Franklin Township on Dec. 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Dorothy A. Daufen West Jr.

Mary was a member of the Camp Run United Presbyterian Church, Harmony.

Mrs. Weisz retired from the catalogue department at JC Penney in Ellwood City after 22 years.

She was preceded in death by one brother, one great-grandson and a son- in-law.

Surviving are her husband, Carl E. Weisz, who she married April 6, 1956; one daughter, Diana “Dee” Ferrante of New Castle; four sons, Dale (Beth) Weisz and Joseph (Jenny) Weisz, both of Ellwood City, William (Nancy) Weisz of Fombell and Charles (Karyn) Weisz of New Castle; five sisters, Jean (Herbert) Swick and Lois (David) Peoples, both of Fombell, Rosetta Herbert of New Castle, Edna (Larry) Brown of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Ruth (Emery) Cortez of Ellwood City; two brothers, A. Gary (Martha) West of Fombell and Boyd (Brenda) West of Beaver Falls; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

WEISZ — Friends and relatives of Mary A. West Weisz, who passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Camp Run Presbyterian Church, 489 Church Road, Harmony.
