Police seek man accused of stealing phone, attacking woman

BUTLER TWP — Police are seeking a Butler man suspected of snatching a woman’s cell phone at a Lyndora bar and then attacking her when she tried to get it back Wednesday night.

District Judge Kevin O’Donnell today issued an arrest warrant for Danielle C. Frazier, 30, on charges of robbery and simple assault.

Frazier is accused of walking into Cav’s Place on Bessemer Avenue about 9:20 p.m. and walking out with Kaylaa Chupka’s phone.

Chupka, 24, of Lyndora told police she followed him outside and asked him to return her phone, according to court documents.

Witnesses told investigators that Frazier “grabbed Chupka around the throat and threw her to the ground and began to beat her,” a police affidavit said.”

Police believe Frazier left with the phone, which is valued at $120.

Officers described Chupka’s injuries as minor abrasions.

Charging documents noted that Frazier is on probation stemming from a misdemeanor drug case.

Frazier also is awaiting trial in Butler County on felony charges in connection with a suspected drug deal last summer in Butler.
