For her Girl Scout Gold Award project, Jendi Robinson, center, of Ambassador Troop 20588 in Mars created a Native Plant Garden at the Owlet Shop at Moraine State Park. Also pictured are Carol Bickel, shop manager and Moraine Preservation Fund representative, and Dan Bickel, state park manager.

Girl Scout Jendi Robinson of Ambassador Troop 20588 in Mars spent more than 90 hours designing, building and installing a Native Plant Garden at the entrance to the Owlet Shop at McDanel's Boat Launch at Moraine State Park.

The Moraine Preservation Fund will use the garden and pamphlets Jendi developed for educational purposes.

The garden, Jendi's Gold Award project, was dedicated during a ceremony June 21 with Carol Bickel, Owlet Shop manager and Moraine Preservation Fund representative, and Dan Bickel, Moraine State Park manager, participating.

Also supporting the project were Crystal Landscape Supply in Mars, Carve It in Stone in Harrisville, Mars Rainbow Assembly 124 and April Sanner.
