Howard G. Houston
To my Dad,
Howard G. Houston
Many things were left unsaid
They weight upon my heart
When I try to get them out
Tears will flow, but words cannot
I pray for God’s forgiveness
For being so naive
I should’ve shared my heart then
Now I can only grieve
But I am blessed beyond my worth
For I know my God is wise
He told me that you heard me
When He gave my son your eyes
Now every day I look at him
Your warmth recaptures me
By Grace alone, this I know:
We’ll meet again someday
