Joseph Bartell

Joseph Bartell, 86, of Butler passed away Thursday at his residence.

He was born in Lomax, W.Va., on Jan. 9, 1926, and was the son of the late Lee Bartell Sr. and Victoria Codispot Bartell.

Joseph was a retired electrician from Reichbaum Electric, where he was employed for 30 years, and was also a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Blevins Bartell, to whom he was married for 62 years; three sons, Michael E. Bartell and his wife, Linda, of Seattle, Wash., Stephen L. Bartell and his wife, Leslie, of Valencia and Phillip J. Bartell and his wife, Margie, of Saxonburg; and four granddaughters, Krista Morris and her husband, Derek, of Verona, and Kayla Bartell, Amanda Bartell and Ashley Bartell, all of Saxonburg.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

<B>BARTELL</B> — Friends of Joseph Bartell, who died Thursday, May 10, 2012, will be received at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Monday from 11 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at noon with the Rev. Nick Protos of Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church officiating.
