Kenneth C. Bowland

Kenneth C. Bowland, 37, of Prospect died unexpectedly Monday at his home.

Born March 9, 1975, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Doug and Patti (Brilmyer) Bowland.

He was a 1994 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and had attended Slippery Rock University.

He was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Butler. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and mostly he loved his daughter Emma Rose more than life itself. He is finally fishing with his pap again.

A veteran of the Persian Gulf, he served with the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger.

Surviving are his parents, Doug and Patti Bowland of Prospect; his daughter, Emma Rose Bowland; one brother, Drew Bowland of West Virginia; one sister, Beth Yost of Butler; his grandparents, Dee Bowland of Butler and Bernie and Ruth Brilmyer of Carnegie; his aunt and uncle, Vicky and Mark Brilmyer; one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his pap, Kenneth A. Bowland, 1st Sergeant U.S. Air Force, Retired.

<B>BOWLAND</B> — Friends of Kenneth C. Bowland, who died Monday, May 7, 2012, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Nazarene Butler, Route 68 West, Butler. Everyone please meet at the church. The Rev Chris Easton, his pastor, will officiate. Internment will follow in Mount Chestnut Cemetery.
