NEW CASTLE — Dennis Munko of Birdsfoot Golf Club is in a three-way tie for first place with a 4-under-par 68 after the first round of the Tri-State Open Monday at New Castle Country Club.

Munko is tied with Tony Traci of Allegheny Country Club and amateur Stan Namola.

Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club is tied for fourth place (69), while John Aubrey of Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred is tied for seventh (71). Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf and Country Club is tied for 22nd (74) and Denny Dolci of St. Jude Golf Club tied for 46th (77).

The second round will be played today.
