Lee O. Bable
Lee O. Bable, 80, of Butler passed away at 2:01 a.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1932, in Slate Lick, Armstrong County, to the late John Bable and Mabel Hill Bable.
Mr. Bable was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Butler Armco, now AK Steel, in the maintenance department following 34 years of employment. Mr. Bable enjoyed camping, reading and spending his winters in Florida.
Mr. Bable is survived by one son, Randall Bable of Kaufman, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Harmon and her husband, Paul, of Butler; five grandchildren, Amanda (Harmon) Mason, Joseph Harmon, Emily Harmon, Cassie Bable and Cory Bable; one brother, John W. Bable and his wife, Peggy, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. Pflugh Bable, who he married May 24, 1955, and who passed away Jan. 6, 2008; and by three sisters, Mildred Shernock, Marcella Stokes and Rene Smathers.
BABLE — Friends of Lee O. Bable, who passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Short of the Grace @ Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
