SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University track and field standouts Kara Styles and Cameron Daugherty have received Academic All-District honors.

Both graduated earlier this month, but plan to return next year for their final seasons of eligibility.

Daugherty won the national championship in the pole vault — the first for a Rock male since 1997 — and has a degree in criminology.

Styles is a distance runner with a 4.0 grade point average who was named PSAC Champion Scholar at this spring’s conference meet.
