PITTSBURGH — Motorists have reported a sharp-dressed pig running loose on Interstate 376 just outside of Pittsburgh, where state troopers also spotted the animal but failed to catch it before it scurried off into the woods.

The pig seen wearing a scarf was reported Wednesday morning just west of the city on the Parkway West, near the Green Tree exit. The reports came in between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

State troopers from the nearby barracks in Findlay Township were able to spot the pig, but couldn't catch up to it.

CARNEGIE — A mother of three from the Pittsburgh area is facing charges after leaving her children alone in a hot car.Police say 22-year-old Martina Searcy of Carnegie left her 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and 7-month-old in the car with the windows barely cracked on an 84-degree day.The car was in the Walmart parking lot in Scott Township on Tuesday.Police say Searcy came outside after officers opened the car doors. They say the children were in the car for about 15 minutes.By The Associated Press
