Alex Ziegler tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 as Butler City blanked Slippery Rock 12-0 in the second game of a legion doubleheader over the weekend.

Ziegler also had a double, two singles and two runs scored at the plate.

Tim Butler, Zach Slater and Zach Milligan added a pair of hits and Josh Friel had a triple for Butler City.

Slippery Rock’s lone highlight in the nightcap came when it turned a triple play in the third inning.

Slippery won the first game 9-7.

Camren Neal had a double and Doug Horner two singles to lead Slippery Rock in the Game 1 win.

Ziegler had a triple and a single and Milligan a single for Butler City.
